Last year, Dwayne Johnson announced his co-owned studio Seven Bucks Productions was developing a holiday-themed movie named “Red One” set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Red One is currently being described as “a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy, imagining a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre.”

Jake Kasdan (Jumanji) is set to direct the film for Seven Bucks Productions, with Chris Morgan (Fast and Furious Franchise) signed on to pen the script. Johnson will be joined by fellow Seven Bucks producers Hiram and Dany Garcia, Jake Kasdan (The Detective Agency), and Melvin Mar (Sky Salem Robinson) as producers on the film.
