Chip & Company Week in Review, May 16, 2011
Welcome to another edition of the Chip & Company Week in Review!  As I was going through all of the news items from last week, it seems like there is a TON of Disney activity out there!  So, without further ado, let’s take a look at some of the items that caught my eye as being worthy of a second look!

  • Of course, May 20th is the opening date for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.  Aljon gives us more information about this long awaited premier in his post about Jack & Angelica!
  • Continuing on the POTC theme, did you know that Blackbeard was coming to Disneyland Park and the Magic Kingdom?
  • Lastly, did you see Chip’s post about all of the great POTC gifts we have for giveaways?  If not, read more about it in this piece, which includes a video of all of the great things!  Good luck!
  • Speaking of giveaways, did you hear about Pixie Vacations and the $250 Disney Gift Card that they are giving away?  Someone is going to be really lucky!
  • Are you thinking of going to Disney during the Food and Wine festival?  If so, check out Chris’ post about some great Food and Wine resort discounts!
  • Speaking of the Food and Wine Festival, Pixie Vacations is having a Disney Fan Meet on October 1st!  Not only that, but they are also having a team running (I mean, walking) in the Family Fun 5k!  Read all about it here.  I hope to see you there!
  • Have you ever heard the MouseChat.net podcast?  You can get it via iTunes.  They recently had Josh from PlanItDisney.com on talking about his latest project.  If you’ve never heard MouseChat, go listen to an episode, it’s a good podcast!  If you’ve never explored PlanItDisney.com before, I really think you would like it — it’s quite cool!
  • Chip wrote about “Behind the Bricks”, a story about the LEGO Master Builder, Erik Varszegi.  If you have children that like LEGOs and the LEGO Store, then you’ve got to check out this post!
  • Chip also posted his top four reasons for staying at a Walt Disney World resort.  Do your top four reasons match up with his top four?
  • Lastly, did you see that you can now get your Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and your Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets now?

Of course, not all of the information on Chip & Company is news.  Take a look at some of the great pieces that our talented writers have for us this week!  This is just a small sample, so read more on the Chip & Company website!

I hope you have enjoyed reading this week’s Week in Review!  This is just a small sample of the information that you get every day at Chip & Company, so I hope you’ll visit daily and check out our articles.  You can also follow along at Facebook!  Have a great week!
