Chip & Company Week in Review, June 6, 2011

As always, when it comes to Disney news and views, your writers at Chip & Company have been quite busy reporting to you all the news related to Disney!  If you missed some of it, please take a look at some of these articles that came down last week!

  • Our own Aljon had a chance to sit down and chat with Vanessa Marano, star of ‘Switched at Birth’.  If you missed the interview, check it out!
  • Raise your hand if you are interested in getting one of the Mermaid Makeovers at the Pirate’s League!  (Chip, put your hand down!)  This news story came to us from Wendy, but you’ve only got until July 2nd, so you better hurry.  Thanks Wendy!
  • Jennifer has a review of the Disney Food Blog Guide to Walt Disney World Dining!  Who doesn’t love to eat at Disney?
  • Mel writes to us about the wheelchair accessible ride vehicles you can find at the Magic Kingdom.  This is great information to have if you are unable to transfer out of your wheelchair.
  • Before Jodi wrote her piece, “The Magic, The Memories, and…Wishes”, I never knew how many fireworks went into one showing of Wishes!  Thanks for all of that great information, Jodi!
  • Did you read Kristen’s piece about “The Captain Jack Sparrow Handbook”?  If not, click the link!  It’s a must have for any pirate or pirate wanna-be!
  • Our friend Anonymouse wrote to us last week about the Mission Tortilla Factory, or more importantly, about what is going to replace it!
  • This just in!  Now you can get your very own Chip & Company T-Shirts!  For all of my fellow writers, there is no truth to the rumor that we each need to buy one in order to keep writing for Chip & Company!
  • Are you about to embark on a trip to Disneyland?  Then take a look at the refurbishment schedule for June 2011!
  • And last, but certainly not least, for the Disney World crowd, never fear, here’s the refurbishment schedule for WDW for June 2011.  I’d better re-read that, since we’ll be heading that way in just a little while!

In addition to all of the news, of course we have our views of the things that make Walt Disney great.  Here are just a few of the ones that we had last week!

  • One of our newer writers is Savannah, who wrote a nice piece about her “Top 5 underrated Walt Disney World Restaurants”. Do her top 5 match your top 5?
  • Our friend Steve from Pixie Vacations visited Disneyland Paris, and has a series of articles.  One neat one that I liked was his review of Disney’s Hotel NY.
  • Do you struggle with finding ways to bring the Magic home with you?  Do you like cookies?  If the answer to both of those questions is yes, Melissa just might have found a possible solution for you in her “In the Disney Kitchen” piece!

I hope you have enjoyed this week’s Week in Review from Chip & Company.  If you ever need any additional information, you can feel free to post your question on Facebook, Tweet us @chipandcompany, or even email us!  Each of us has a Chip & Company email address which is the same address as the name of the writer.  For example, my address is mike@chipandco.com!  Have a great week!
