This is so cool! Recently Chewbacca surprised Star Tours guests inside Hollywood Studios as he searched for a “SOLO” rider. Chewy needs someone to join him as a co-pilot on a special adventure aboard a Starspeeder 1000.
Speaking of Star Wars and Hollywood Studios, did you hear the big news about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge? Last night Disney announced that the Disneyland Resort will be welcoming guests to Galaxy’s Edge in Summer 2019. Walt Disney World will follow with a late Fall 2019 debut.
Watch the video below as guests are asked for a special password and then meet up with an out-of-this-world crew!
This, of course, was a special one-time occurrence but Hollywood Studios guests can still meet Chewbacca at the Rebel Base in Star Wars Launch Bay.
In “Solo: A Star Wars Story“, Chewie has fallen on hard times during the age of the expanding Empire. When fate has Han and Chewbacca cross paths, Chewbacca embarks on a long, loyal and trusting friendship that he could have never expected. Be sure to catch “Solo: A Star Wars Story” when it opens in U.S. theaters on May 25, 2018.
