Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Home Alone with the McCallister Gingerbread House

Can you believe Home Alone is 30 years old? This Holiday Classic ranks up there with some of my favorite Christmas movies such as The Santa Claus, The Grinch, Christmas Vacation and Die Hard (yes Die Hard is a Christmas movie).

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Home Alone Disney+ in the UK celebrated with a one of a kind celebration, award-winning cake designer Michelle Wibowo created a spectacular gingerbread McCallister house from the movie!

The details on the McCallister Gingerbread House are just simply amazing! From the Wet Bandits van upfront to Kevin’s treehouse in the back yard Michelle Wibowo spent over 300 hours getting all of the details just right.

In case you missed it a reboot of the movie was commissioned for the Disney+, with a new twist on this holiday tale. The Home Alone reboot will be directed by Dan Mazer, with a script from Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell. The film will star Archie Yates (Jojo Rabbit), Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2), Ellie Kemper (The Office), Ally Maki (Toy Story 4), Kenan Thompson (Saturday Night Live), Chris Parnell (Saturday Night Live), Aisling Bea (Living with Yourself), Pete Holmes (Crashing), and Timothy Simons (Veep).
