Celebrate International Women’s Day and a New Friend at Shanghai Disneyland!

As winter melts away, many birds migrate to Shanghai Disneyland and starting from the 1st March, a special bird will be appearing around the park. Kevin from the beloved Disney and Pixar film, “Up”, who will make her debut in Asia at Shanghai Disney Resort. This magical, feathery friend is a strong, independent mother, who loves chocolate, exploring and adventure. So catch a glimpse at Kevin wandering around Adventure Isle throughout this spring season!

Spring at Shanghai Disneyland brings the annual celebration of female empowerment, as they welcome the return of International Women’s Day celebration! To celebrate this day in pure Disney fashion, Minnie Mouse’s custom-made sign will greet guests during their entry featuring a feminine form sign making up the park’s Chinese name. Likewise, select Disney Princesses and Princes will appear on Enchanted Storybook Castle balcony as part of Mickey’s Storybook Express, to celebrate this important day!

Another reason to celebrate International Women’s Day and to visit Shanghai Disneyland, is the new limited-time only Half-Day tickets for guests visiting between 5th-8th March! On sale, from 1st March to the 8th March you can purchase these tickets from a number of official channels. Purchasing the International Women’s Day tickets provides special access to Shanghai Disneyland after 2pm on specific dates. Prices start from MB 199 for a standard adult ticket and only RMB 149 for children, seniors and guests with disabilities!

Magical Entertainment Flourishes Across the Resorts during Spring at Shanghai Disneyland

With the warmer weather comes a range of seasonal entertainment experiences and offerings. Gaze upon the beautiful springtime images floating towards the sky on the castle walls in the new “Color Your Dreams” pre-show before viewing Ignite the Dream- A Nighttime Spectacular of Magic and Light. Furthermore, check out the new social wall appearing near Il Paperino where guests can take selfies in front of seasonal scenes. Why not join StellaLou and her friends in a star-studded show in Celebration Square, from March 9th through to April 5th.

Celebrate Springtime with fresh treats at restaurants, kiosks and outdoor vending carts throughout the resort. Featuring fresh flavors like the Minnie Mouse- inspired treats at Il Paperino, such as the Minnie strawberry and vanilla ice cream and a Minnie waffle. Why not check out Remy’s Patisseries, where you can enjoy sweets with floral designs and chocolate Mickey, Minnie and Donald Duck toppers. Likewise, Mickey & Pals Market Café is also hosting a limited-edition Duffy and Friends Spring Afternoon Tea, with a menu full of delicious brownies and cakes, carefully crafted with cute Duffy and Friends elements and a variety of beverages. Guests can also find adorable Chip ‘n’ Dale delights throughout the park, including a new commemorative Chip ‘n’ Dale birthday bucket.

Wandering Moon Restaurant is also releasing a new seasonal menu this Spring, featuring traditional delicacies with all the Disney touches that make dining magical! In addition, available every Friday and Saturday from March 5th- April 24th, Shanghai Disneyland Hotel’s Aurora is presenting a Sleeping Beauty Dinner for two, where guests will see Disney friends before looking out at Shanghai Disneyland’s Nighttime Spectacular.

Spring is in Full Swing at Disneytown and Resort Hotels!

Take in the sights, sounds and scents of the Spring at Shanghai Disneyland when you visit Disneytown, full of new cuisines, recreational activities and so much more. A magical new chapter of the Wishing Star Park Adventure will also premiere in March, featuring three new separate explorations over the three months, educating children the importance of biodiversity and other surprising spring secrets in advance of the resort’s Earth Month celebrations in April.
