On its 3rd year in a row and this time also commemorating Mickey’s 90th birthday, Disney invites guests to #ShareYourEars in support of the Make-A-Wish foundation.
From right now and until November 17th, take a photo proudly showing your “Mickey Mouse ears” – or any kind of creative “ears”- then upload it to your Instagram, Twitter or Facebook with the hashtag #ShowYourEars. For every public post with the hashtag #ShowYourEars, Disney will donate $5 to Make-A-Wish.
If you were watching “Mickey’s 90th Spectacular” last night on ABC you saw Robin Roberts kick off the campaign during the amazing star-studded event.
It’s time to get creative #ShowYourEars and have some fun!
Disney fans from around the world can now help grant magical wishes with many different opportunities available. Guests at the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and Disneyland Paris can help by locating the uniquely themed “ear walls” created exclusively for the #ShareYourEars campaign by Walt Disney Imagineering. Strike a pose and #ShareYourEars. Guests in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort can use photo frames all along Main Street USA. Below is the wall at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.
If you are sailing with Disney Cruise Line make sure to check out the special photo ops aboard and #ShareYourEars. Another way to get involved if you can’t make it to the parks or go sailing on the Disney Cruise Line is to visit your local Disney Store (U.S. or Canada only; excluding outlets through Nov 17th) and decorate your own pair of paper Mickey Mouse ears. Don’t forget to post those pictures with the hashtag #ShowYourEars. You can find your local Disney store here.
Disney has granted more than 130,000 wishes through Make-A-Wish since 1980. Every year that’s approximately 10,000 wishes granted and now with your help many, many more to come.
So let’s help children around the world replace fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Mickey’s birthday! Show off those ears! Let’s see what you can create and grant some wishes!
