Fans of ‘Castle’, rejoice! Everyone’s favorite crime solving duo are back, and better than ever, in ‘Castle: The Complete Fourth Season’, coming to DVD on September 11, 2012. Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic are back in season four of ABC’s hit series, which picks up following the shocking conclusion of season three. I’m not a huge fan of procedural shows, but I’m an avid ‘Castle’ fan. After discovering Nathan Fillion on ‘Firefly’, one of my all time favorite shows that was sadly cut far too short, I couldn’t wait for him to return to television. Thankfully, over the past four years, ‘Castle’ has proven to be the perfect vehicle for not only him, but Stana Katic as well, who plays Kate Beckett, Richard Castle’s muse of sorts for his novel series, Nikki Heat. This is currently one of the best shows on TV, that is fronted by a spectacular cast and excellent writing, really elevating over most things on TV. Not surprisingly, it looks like Disney’s release of ‘The Complete Fourth’ season won’t disappoint either, adding another excellent set for ‘Castle’ fans to add to their collections.
Disney’s release of ‘Castle: The Complete Fourth Season’ will feature all 23 episodes of the third season of the hit ABC show, as well as a slew of new extras. The set will include familiar features such as deleted scenes, audio commentaries on select episodes, and a blooper reel, while we also get some fun sounding new features. ‘Bowman, Bowman, and Castle’ follows the father and son combination of director Chuck Bowman and executive producer Rob Bowman as they create an episode of the series. ‘Submerged’ will give you an in-depth look at the stunt work in the show. But the one I’m most excited about is ‘Fillion and Friends: Castle Goes Radio’, a behind the scenes look which sees Nathan Fillion returning to ‘Thrilling Adventure and Supernatural Suspense Hour’, a popular Los Angeles based show where people do old style radio programs on stage. But Fillion isn’t alone, bringing Molly Quinn, and some others along for the ride. I can’t wait to get a chance to see this one, which makes me that much more excited for this set.
‘Castle: The Complete Fourth Season’ will be hitting shelves on September 11, 2012. The set is looking to retail around $45, but I expect it’ll be cheaper than that on release day. I’m very excited to get a chance to watch this season again, and adding it to my collection. How about you? Are you excited to add this to your collection?
