Captain Marvel Hits $800 Million in Global Box Office. The first female led film from Marvel Studios has been smashing records since it’s release on March 8, 2019.
Less than two weeks since it’s intial release, Captain Marvel has gone higher, further, faster in the box office both demestically and globally. Captain Marvel hit $455.7 million worldwide over the course of it’s opening weekend and in less than two weeks has earned over $803 million globally. You read that right. $803 Million. If I was Brie Larson I would be celebrating right about now!
Captain Marvel is currently the fourth highest grossing Marvel Studios film on its 12th day of release, surpassed only by Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther, and Avengers, in that order. As for opening weekend, the film was second only to Avengers: Infinity War.
Since the film has been out for less than two weeks, it is almost impossible for Captain Marvel not to hit the $1 Billion mark before the films release to digital and DVD. More than likely it will do so after this coming weekend!
