Ben Affleck to Direct a New Live-Action Disney Movie

Ben Affleck to Direct a New Live-Action Disney Movie. According to Deadline, Oscar winning actor and director Ben Affleck has sign on to direct a screen live-action adaptation of the best selling book series Keeper of the Lost Cities for Walt Disney Pictures. The popular book series follows Twelve-year-old Sophie Foster who has a secret. She’s a Telepath—someone who hears the thoughts of everyone around her. It’s a talent she’s never known how to explain. Everything changes the day she meets Fitz, a mysterious boy who appears out of nowhere and also reads minds.

Though Disney has yet to announce if the film will become a franchise series for the studio, there is plenty of content to warrant the idea that we may get to see several Keeper movies in years to come. It is currently unknown if the film will premiere in theaters or exclusively on Disney+. No casting choices have been announced at this time. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Disney!
