Some surprising movie news was announced during Sony’s panel at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. El Muerto is Sony’s newly announced Spider-Man Cinematic Universe movie and Bad Bunny is playing the superhero.
It’s surprising to long-time comic readers because the character has only appeared in a handful of stories. The character of El Muerto aka Juan Carlos is a super-powered wrestler who originally fought Spider-Man in a charity wrestling match. El Muerto would mark the first Latin superhero to get his own film in the universe of Marvel characters.
