Automated PhotoPass cameras keep taking over character meet & greets around Walt Disney World.
Anna and Elsa meet & greet at Royal Sommerhus in Epcot is the latest one to get rid of Disney PhotoPass cast members and replacing them with the new technology.
Contrary to the Mickey Mouse meet & greet, this popular location only has one camera installed at a very low angle, which might not be ideal for adult guests.
It also appears to be protected by a glass pane unlike the other cameras installed in different locations, while this might be good to keep the equipment safe, it makes it easier to collect dust or fingerprints that will result in lower quality pictures.
The process after taking your pictures is the same as in other locations, you collect your belongings and proceed to scan your MagicBand at the kiosk at the exit to link your photos to your MyDisneyExperience account.
The guests reaction to these changes have not been positive at all, but despite the big amount of complains, Disney doesn’t seem to listen and expect guests to just eventually let it go.
