Attempted Breech of Security at Orlando International Airport Earlier Today

There was an attempted breach of security at Orlando International Airport today. Earlier today officials reported a passenger attempted to breach security at Orlando International Airport. While there were rumors of a more serious incident, the rumors are false. Police apprehended the individual and the subject was arrested.

The TSA screening process and shuttle service was briefly stopped during the incident which occurred around 12:00 P.M. eastern standard time Saturday, February 16, 2019.

While travelers should prepare for delays all operations have resumed and officials are working to get the airport back on regular schedule.

The incident occurred at the West Checkpoint at gates 1-59. Sources from law enforcement indicated a taser was used to help apprehend the subject.
