David Dastmalchian’s Kurt Goreshter won’t be returning for the Marvel sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
In the previous Ant-Man movies, David Dastmalchian appeared as Kurt Goreshter, a thief-turned-security consultant and one of Ant-Man’s (Paul Rudd) personal friends.
Dastmalchian gave the update about his character during an interview on the red carpet for the premiere of Marvel’s Moon Knight series.
It doesn’t look like it… But that’s okay. I know they’re making something incredible. I can’t wait to see what Peyton does next. He’s one of my favorite directors…He’s been so busy. I have tried to stay in touch, but he’s making an incredible film right now.

In the meantime, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania plot details are still scarce at this point. It’s unknown why David Dastmalchian isn’t included, but we can confirm the return of other cast members.
Both Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are set to reprise their roles as Scott Lang (Ant-Man) and Hope Van Dyne (The Wasp). Also returning for the film is Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Michelle Pfeiffer (Janet Van Dyne), Michael Peña (Luis) Jonathan Majors (Kang the Conqueror), and MCU newcomer Kathryn Newton (Cassie Lang) with Bill Murray in an unspecified role as a villain. Writer and co-producer Jeff Loveness had been chosen by Marvel Studios to pen the script.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will premiere in theaters on February 17, 2023.
