Zuri's Sweet Shop 4

Well very shortly after Zuri’s Sweet Shop, located at Harambe Village in the Animal Kingdom, opened they had to stop selling animal poop treats. Sounds odd right?

In case you have not heard they were selling various types of animal poop treats. Ok, not actual animal poop. Edible and yummy treats that are made to look like animal poop. There was an overwhelming amount of complaints about the poop shaped treats, so Disney pulled it from the shelves.

Some guests that complained used words like, disgusting, classless, not Disney friendly etc. I suspect they might re-appear for a limited time here and there in the future but I think it is safe to say they are gone. As you can imagine, this is causing mixed reactions.

How do you feel about the treats being pulled from the shelves? Don’t you think it’s pretty crappy?

Wishing you Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust

  1. This is extremely sad! Some people! It was fun and I couldn’t wait to go and try one, lol. It’s silly. It’s fun. And now it’s sad that they’re gone. Some people are just WAY too offended by stupid things. I guess they must be offended by the “Everybody Poops” book, too. I’m surprised that’s still on the shelf. How disappointing! Sigh.

  2. Tongue-in-cheek treats that make little kids (and silly adults) giggle are harmless and doesn’t deeply infringe upon my Disney World vacation enjoyment, like the new Fastpass system and new dining cancellation $policy does… Disney and guests need to prioritize their complaints and responses. From someone who used to never say a bad thing about Disney World, we’re getting beyond cranky with how some of their recent decisions are affecting our vacation experience…

  3. Obviously Disney did not spend the billions of dollars on these treats like they have on Fastpass+ because guests have had many complaints about that but we are still stuck with it.

  4. C’mon folks. Lighten up and have some fun. Disney still has smoking areas, with the smoke traveling into children’s lungs, and that’s OK. T-shirts that are sexually suggestive are OK. But a little silly fun and those politically correct guests are horrified. Yikes

  5. I was disgusted by the look of them and glad they are gone. Of course, I won’t make or eat “Kitty Litter Cake” either because it looks too realistic, Same principle.
