Animal Kingdom Character Float receieve 50th Anniversary Makeover

If you’re going to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, then you’ll want to keep an eye out for the character boats! There’s several different character boats making the rounds, but Mickey’s boat shows him celebrating the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort!

He rides in a boat decorated with special banners and you can hear the music playing while he’s approaching. It’s a fun sight for guests!

Here’s a clip of Mickey Mouse and friends celebrating the 50th anniversary! You can see Pluto and Minnie Mouse waving at guests while Mickey’s boat travels around the theme park.

The characters at Animal Kingdom ride by boats in the water that connect Africa and Asia. Listen for the music to tell when the boats are coming.

In addition, the Discovery Island Drummers also have a boat and it’s fun to listen to them rock out in the preshow for KiteTails. However, their boat doesn’t have the 50th anniversary banners like Mickey’s.

Be sure to look for Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto the next time you’re at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
