Amorette’s Patisserie Petit Cake
Amorette’s Patisserie has introduced a new limited-time Soul Petit Cake as a part of Disney’s Celebrate Soulfully initiative during Black History Month.
Whimsical Decorations
This new petit cake is themed after the movie Soul. The movie’s main character Joe Gardner is featured on a fondant wafer decoration on top of the cake while edible music notes wrap around the top of the cake. Be warned though the blue ribbon at the bottom of the cake is not edible and must be removed as with most of Amorette’s cakes. It’s there for decoration only.

Soulfully Sweet
Now for the important part, the flavors. Chocolate chiffon cake, dark chocolate mousse, raspberry pate de fruit, raspberry mousse, and white chocolate crispy pearls make up this decadent treat. Amorette’s Cakes are deliciously moist and rich. While they are on the pricey side they are meant to be savored.

The Soul Petit Cake is themed after the Disney Pixar movie Soul.
“What is it that makes you…YOU? “Soul” introduces Joe Gardner (voice of Jamie Foxx) – a middle-school band teacher who has a passion for jazz. “Joe wants more than anything to become a professional jazz pianist,” says director Pete Docter. “So when he’s offered a rare, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play with one of the greats, Joe feels he’s reached the top of the ultimate mountain.”
“One small misstep takes him from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks, and interests before they go to Earth. According to Docter, the idea for this unique world was 23 years in the making. “It started with my son—he’s 23 now—but the instant he was born, he already had a personality,” says Docter. “Where did that come from? I thought your personality developed through your interaction with the world. And yet, it was pretty clear that we’re all born with a very unique, specific sense of who we are.”

You can pick up the Soul Petit Cake at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs. It’s located right next to the World of Disney Store and just across the way from the Lego store.
The Soul Petite Cake will set you back $22.00 but you can truly consider it a “treat-yo-self” kinda moment!
Amorette’s also offers sandwiches, crepes, and a variety of bakery goods. You can find some seating inside and just outside the shop as well.
