Pumpkin season is officially in full swing. We can tell because Starbucks is selling Pumpkin Spice lattes, craft stores all have pumpkins in their displays, and Vivoli il Gelato is wowing us with a new seasonal shake that is all about pumpkin!
This is the Pumpkin Mudslide, a milkshake that is made of gelato. It starts with pumpkin gelato and tiramisu gelato, mixed with chocolate syrup. It’s garnished with a white chocolate-dipped waffle cone, whipped cream, and orange sprinkles. Overall, it’s an over-the-top presentation, as so many of Vivoli il Gelato’s creations are.
The flavor comes across as very chocolatey. The tiramisu gelato seems stronger than the pumpkin, and the chocolate syrup sends it even further to that flavor profile. Although the ”mudslide” is stronger than the ”pumpkin, ” this treat shouldn’t be overlooked by pumpkin fans. Pumpkin gelato is still a dominant flavor, even if it is on the subtle side. Just don’t expect it to taste like a Pumpkin Spice Latte! It’s a milkshake for those with a sweet tooth, and it’s big enough to share with a friend!
