Adventures by Disney Announces Rhône River Cruises for 2026
Adventures by Disney invites families to embark on a sensory journey through southern France in 2026 with their brand-new river cruise itinerary, designed to create lasting memories.

This eight-day, curated adventure will begin in Lyon, one of the world’s culinary capitals, and sail through charming towns in the Rhône River Valley to Provence, a picturesque region in the south of France that is rich with cultural, artistic, historical and culinary delights. Along the way, interactive experiences will captivate and inspire as you travel through the charming areas of Tournon, Viviers, Avignon and Arles.
“Feel” History Beneath Your Feet
Why just think about the Roman Empire when you can touch it? In Avignon, guests can do just that as they embark on a VIP-access climb to the top of the historic Pont du Gard. This ancient Roman aqueduct and UNESCO World Heritage site has stood for nearly 2,000 years and remains one of the best-preserved Roman feats of engineering in the world.
And for those who prefer to stay closer to the ground, guests can opt to take in the views of these ancient columns as they kayak along the winding banks of the River Gardon. The Musée du Pont du Gard also provides a ground-level delve into the daily life of the ancient Romans who lived in nearby Nîmes through exhibits of artifacts recovered in the area.
Savor the “Flavors” and “Scents” of Southern France
It wouldn’t be a true adventure in France without sampling the country’s finest cuisine. From the rich flavors of chocolates and cheeses to freshly baked goods, olive oils and fragrant herbs, food lovers of all ages will be saying, “C’est délicieux!”
Adults will have the opportunity to taste local wines from one of the greatest wine-growing regions throughout the river cruise, including samples from Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyards cultivated at the request of Catholic popes residing in Avignon in the 14th century. Younger foodies can enjoy special samplings and activities curated just for them, too. While in Lyon, these “Junior Adventurers” will have their own guided food tour with storytelling inspired by the world of Disney and Pixar’s “Ratatouille.”
Feast Your Eyes on the Beautiful “Sights” of Provence
