Big changes are coming to Adventureland in Disneyland Park! Arguably the most congested area of the park, the walkway between Bengal Barbecue and the Indiana Jones attraction is a known bottleneck. Stroller parking in the middle of the walkway only decreases what available walking space is left. Park officials have confirmed that this is all about to change!
On Monday, June 12, the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost and South Seas Traders will both be closing. The additional space is needed to expand the existing restaurant.
The Bengal Barbecue is losing its outdoor seating area and adding a new indoor seating area (with air conditioning!) in the adjacent space that the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost once occupied. The plan is for the work to be completed by June 30th. The restaurant will remain open during this conversion.
Tropical Imports will be moving across the pathway into the previous South Seas Traders location. This will free up the current Tropical Imports location for stroller parking.
All of these changes are projected to be completed before the new Fantasmic! debuts this summer.
