Actress Jane Withers Has Passed Away at Age 95. Disney Fans knew her best as the partial voice of Laverne the gargoyle in Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame after the passing of Mary Wickes during post-production and went on to voice Laverne in the sequel film. Wither’s most notable work was featured in Aunt Sally’s Kiddie Revue (Radio Show), Bright Eyes (film), The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, The Love Boat, “Murder, She Wrote,” Sure, Sure, Shirley (Broadway) and was featured as a returning character (Josephine the Plumber) in Comet commercials in the ’60s. Her final role was as a voice actress for The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 as Laverne.

Jane’s daughter, Kendall Errair, shared the news of her passing with Deadline: “My mother was such a special lady. She lit up a room with her laughter, but she especially radiated joy and thankfulness when she was talking about the career she so loved and how lucky she was.”
