Whoopi Goldberg, host of ABC’s The View and Disney Legend, and ABC News are preparing to present a special new docu-series called “I’m Coming Home” on Thanksgiving night, November 22 at 10 p.m. Eastern. The series will highlight stars who return to their childhood homes and reconnect to their roots.
Several different celebrities will be featured during the series. Actress Tiffany Haddish from “Nobody’s Fool,” as well as writer/director Tyler Perry will share special memories from their childhoods. They will also share special Thanksgiving messages and share with the viewing audience what it means to them to be returning home.
Actress Kristin Chenoweth will return to her childhood home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In the series, she visits her first home and her high school (and the students at her high school are very surprised to meet her!) Chenoweth will also reunite with some of her educators, which will surely make for some very emotional moments.
Hollis, Queens native and Shark Tank co-host Daymond John heads back to his childhood home and his roots and shares his emotional journey to become a pioneer in the fashion industry.
Country music star Jake Owen heads back to his native Vero Beach, Florida. His first ever performance was in Vero Beach at the local Riverside Cafe. In the “I’m Coming Home” docu-series, Owen revisits the cafe and reunites with those who had an influence on him when he was younger.
Tune in on Thanksgiving night to see this inspirational presentation, and let us know what you think!
