Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis were joined as executive producers by OUAT Alumni and series writer and director Brigitte Hales and James Griffiths. According to the previous description of the now-defunct series by Deadline, “Epic is a romantic anthology series set in the fairytale universe of Disney. Taking place in a Disney-like Enchanted Forest, it will center on a whole new set of new heroes, villains, princes, princesses, and all manner of magical beings. While it will pay homage to the classic signposts we’re all familiar with from the stories we grew up with, Epic will endeavor to create a whole new batch of characters as it explores love in all its forms.”

Though it is sad to see the series falter before an audience will get to decide it’s fate, there will still be plenty of epic stories to be shared by the dynamic duo of Horowitz and Kitsis who have previously brought ABC audience hit shows such as Lost and Once Upon a Time. According to Deadline, the pair will be joining Josh Gad as executive producers for the new Beauty and the Beast Prequel Series coming to Disney+.
