A Spin-Off Series from 'The Mandalorian' May Be Coming Soon to Disney+

A Spin-Off Series from ‘The Mandalorian‘ May Be Coming Soon to Disney+. It’s been widely accepted at this point that familiar faces will be joining the cast of The Mandalorian, though the studio remains mum regarding those rumors. Well, despite keeping the best/worst secret in the known and unknown Star Wars Universe, it seems another tidbit may have fallen through the cracks!

The folks at Kessel Run Transmissions podcast strongly believe a spin-off series is in the works and would feature ex-Mandalorian leader Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) and ex-Alliance shock trooper Cara Dune (Gina Carano). The series would be the first female led Star Wars series for Lucasfilm and fits the bill for what Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy has been saying is the future of Star Wars stories. The dynamic between the two is currently unknown, but our many questions about the rumored series should be answered during the upcoming season of The Mandalorian.

Bo-Katan Kryze is rumored to make her debut in Season 2 of The Mandalorian with Katee Sackhoff rumored to reprise her role and be both the animated and live-action version of Bo-Katan. Cara Dune, played by Gina Carano, was introduced in season 1 of The Mandalorian and is slated to appear as a leading character in the second season.

The Mandalorian season 2 will feature Din Djarin (Mando) and the Child continuing their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire. “The Mandalorian” stars Pedro Pascal, with guest stars Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Directors for the new season include Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, Peyton Reed and Robert Rodriguez. Showrunner Jon Favreau serves as executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson, with Karen Gilchrist serving as co-executive producer.
