In very sad news, a man has jumped from the Hyatt Regency inside of the Orlando Airport. Reports have been coming in all over social media and from a few of our writers flying into the Orlando International Airport that a man has jumped from the Hyatt Regency inside the airport. At this time we don’t have an update on the jumper or why he jumped. We will continue to update you as we get more information.
According to the airport officials, the wait for security and flights have been severely delayed. Those coming from Disney or the other Orlando Area attractions heading out today should add additional time. Those flights arriving at the airport, should not be affected.
Officials stated that people rushed past gates 70-129 after the man had jumped. WESH Orlando is reporting that authorities said all passengers at gates 70 – 129 are being re-screened and there may be delays.
We are working an incident at the Orlando International Airport @MCO where a person jumped from the Hyatt Regency Hotel into the atrium area of the airport. This is an active and on-going investigation. More information to follow…
