For the next two weeks, youth soccer players have a rare opportunity to learn from some of the world’s premier soccer stars at the second annual Disney Soccer Academy Superstar Edition. The first of two instructional camps is now underway at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Fla.More than 300 youth soccer players are attending the camps, which feature appearances and instruction by professional English Premier League players, including 2012 Great Britain Olympic Squad member Craig Bellamy (Liverpool FC), former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson (Blackburn Rovers FC), Ashley Williams (Swansea City FC), and Aaron Hughes (Fulham FC).
The training focuses on technical development and small-sided games with lessons from the pros as well as from licensed coaches from around the world. The first camp began Monday and runs through Thursday. A second four-day camp will run June 25-28.
