The brand new “Olaf Draws!” experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has hit a snowy roadblock this morning. Due to technical difficulties with the advanced Olaf Audio-Animatronic, the show has been temporarily closed to guests.

Technical Difficulties Halt “Olaf Draws!”
Earlier this month, The Magic of Disney Animation made its highly anticipated return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The fan-favorite drawing class received a modern twist for its reopening—instead of a live Disney animator guiding guests through the sketching process, an impressive Audio-Animatronic of Olaf took over the hosting duties.
While the new animatronic is a technological marvel, many Disney fans expressed concerns that replacing a live Cast Member with a machine could lead to full show cancellations if the technology ever failed. Unfortunately, that fear became a reality on the morning of September 22.
As of just after 9:00 a.m., “Olaf Draws!” halted all performances because the animatronic was experiencing technical issues. Without the snowman host to guide the class, the attraction cannot operate.
Audio Issues in the Building
In addition to Olaf’s downtime, guests inside The Magic of Disney Animation building have reported ongoing audio issues. The background music has been sporadic, cutting in and out randomly throughout the pavilion this morning.
At this time, there is no official word on when “Olaf Draws!” will resume operations or how long it will take to get the lovable snowman back in working order. Guests visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios today should keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app for real-time updates on the attraction’s status.
