Halloween Horror Nights 2026 Officially Opens at Universal Studios Hollywood
Spooky season has officially arrived on the West Coast! The highly anticipated opening of Halloween Horror Nights kicked off at Universal Studios Hollywood last night with a star-studded red carpet event, ushering in a record-breaking 42 nights of terror.
Running on select nights through November 1, 2026, this year’s lineup features eight all-new and returning haunted houses, terrifying scare zones, an iconic Terror Tram takeover, and the return of a fan-favorite live stunt show.

- “Sinners”: Step inside Warner Bros. Pictures’ Academy Award-winning film.
- “Stranger Things”: Face the upside-down thrills of the iconic Netflix series’ fifth season.
- “Hellraiser”: Inspired by the terrifying legacy of the first three films.
- “Evil Dead Burn”: Based on the sixth film in New Line Cinema’s Evil Dead franchise.
- “Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness”: Celebrating the legacy of the legendary metal rock star.
- MGM’s “Killer Klowns from Outer Space”: Traps guests in a frightening funhouse of murderous clown-like creatures.
- “KILLceañera: Music by SLASH”: An original house continuing the tradition of showcasing Latin American myths and legends, featuring an original score composed by Grammy® Award-winning guitarist SLASH (including an exclusive track titled “15 Candles”).
- “Dead, Deader, Deadest”: An original haunted house taking guests on a tour of an abandoned funeral home with a disturbing past.
Terror Tram, Live Shows & Scare Zones
- Terror Tram Starring Art the Clown: The infamous Terror Tram returns with a twisted host—Art the Clown! Featuring music by metal band ICE NINE KILLS, expect a dark, horrific spin on classic holiday tunes.
- “The Purge: Dangerous Waters”: The action-packed live stunt show returns to the WaterWorld venue for a night of fiery survival.
- Immersive Scare Zones: Navigate through all-new zones like “Fortnitemares” (inspired by Fortnite’s in-game event), “Hackerz” (chainsaw-wielding maniacs), “El Circo de la Muerte” (a 1930s Mexican traveling circus), “Blood Bog” (moss monsters in the bayou), and the fan-favorite “Murder of Crowz.”
- Scareactor Encounters: Keep an eye out—Art the Clown will be lurking in unexpected corners of the park. Guests may also come face-to-face with Nikki, the main character from Focus Features’ breakout blockbuster Obsession, suffering under the One Wish Willow’s curse.

Beyond the mazes, guests can take on select theme park rides at night—including SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™, Transformers™: The Ride-3D, Revenge of the Mummy—The Ride, and The Simpsons Ride™. Plus, select tickets (Day/Night, After 2 P.M., Universal Express, and R.I.P. Tour) include access to the new Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster!
Over in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™, Lord Voldemort’s loyal Death Eaters™ will be roaming Hogsmeade starting in the early evening.
