The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge Refurbishment Nears Completion at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is looking nearly ready for its close-up as work continues on the refreshed outdoor patio area. The latest additions include a new red awning, ceiling fans, hanging lanterns, wall lighting, and decorative gold-toned supports that bring the space back in line with the restaurant’s classic Hollywood style.

The new awning now covers the framework that was installed over the lounge patio earlier in August, giving guests some much-needed permanent shade from the Florida sun. Several ceiling fans have also been mounted underneath, which should make outdoor dining a little more comfortable during those extra-toasty afternoons at Hollywood Studios.
Additional finishing touches include hanging lantern-style fixtures beneath the awning and new lights installed along the wall. The outdoor space has been undergoing refurbishment since June, with crews also replacing pavement and refreshing the surrounding exterior wall.

The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge has remained open throughout the project using the restaurant’s smaller side patio, while the main Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant has continued operating as normal. With so many of the finishing details now in place, it certainly looks like the refreshed lounge patio could be ready to roll out the red carpet again soon.
