New Railing Counters Pop Up at EPCOT Ahead of Food & Wine Festival
Finding a place to eat during an EPCOT festival can sometimes feel like its own attraction, but Disney is testing out a handy new option just in time for the 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. A new standing counter has been installed along a flowerbed railing in the Germany pavilion, giving guests another spot to set down those festival plates and drinks without taking up much valuable walkway space.

The slim counter is attached directly to the railing and even features a raised edge along the back, which should help keep your bratwurst, beer, or other festival favorites from accidentally taking an unscheduled trip into the landscaping. Disney has also added a decal reminding guests that the counter is meant for standing, not sitting. The addition comes as EPCOT continues replacing some of its classic flat-top trash cans with newer solar-powered models featuring rounded tops.

Those old cans became unofficial dining tables during festivals, so the change has made finding a place to stop and eat a little trickier. These new railing counters could be Disney’s answer, especially if more begin appearing around World Showcase. It may not be the flashiest addition coming to Food & Wine, but when you’re juggling several small plates and a drink, a little extra counter space can be practically priceless.
