Lilo & Stitch 2 is officially set to hit theaters on May 26, 2028.
The sequel will see Maia Kealoha return to her breakout role as Lilo, while franchise co-creator Chris Sanders returns as the iconic voice of Stitch. In an exciting twist for fans, Sanders is also stepping into the director’s chair for the sequel!
During the panel, Maia Kealoha took the stage to share her enthusiasm for returning to the world of Lilo & Stitch, delighting the audience with her excitement for the next chapter of Ohana.

Angel Teased for Lilo & Stitch 2
While full plot details remain under wraps, Disney confirmed a major story element during the Disney Entertainment Showcase: Experiment 624, better known as Angel, will be a central focus of the sequel.
Disney teased a first look at the fan-favorite pink alien on screen during the presentation, signaling big things ahead for Stitch’s beloved counterpart.
Commenting on the enduring popularity of the franchise, Alan Bergman, co-chairman of Disney Entertainment, shared:
“The love that people have for Lilo & Stitch continues to grow, and the goal with this new retelling was for audiences to be able to enjoy these characters on the big screen again and hopefully have just as much fun watching it as we had making it.”
With a prime Memorial Day weekend release slot in May 2028 and Angel entering the mix, the live-action sequel is shaping up to be another massive event for Disney fans!
