Demi Lovato Returns to ‘Camp Rock’ Franchise for Upcoming ‘Camp Rock 3’
Nearly two decades after her breakout role on Disney Channel, Demi Lovato is officially returning to the franchise that launched her career. Disney announced that Lovato will reprise her iconic role as Mitchie Torres in Camp Rock 3, serving as both an executive producer and making a special cameo appearance in the upcoming sequel.
The movie premieres on Disney Channel on Thursday, Aug. 13 at 8:00 p.m. EDT/PDT before streaming the next day, Aug. 14, on Disney+.

What Is ‘Camp Rock 3’ About?
When the famous pop-rock trio Connect 3 loses their opening act right before a massive reunion tour, they head back to where it all began: Camp Rock. Looking to discover the next big star to join them on stage, the brothers set off a high-stakes competition among a new generation of campers. As talented young musicians vie for the opportunity of a lifetime, rivalries escalate, friendships are put to the test, and unexpected romances and alliances unfold.

Cast and Creative Team
The sequel brings back fan-favorite original stars alongside a fresh lineup of young talent:
- Returning Cast: Demi Lovato (Mitchie Torres), Joe Jonas (Shane Gray), Nick Jonas (Nate Gray), Kevin Jonas (Jason Gray), and Maria Canals-Barrera (Connie).
- New Additions: Liamani Segura (Sage), Malachi Barton (Fletch), Lumi Pollack (Rosie), Sherry Cola (Lark), Hudson Stone (Desi), Casey Trotter (Cliff), Brooklynn Pitts (Callie), and Ava Jean (Madison).
The feature is directed by Veronica Rodriguez (The Slumber Party) and written by Eydie Faye (The Slumber Party), with choreography led by Jamal Sims. Tim Federle (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) serves as executive producer alongside Joe Jonas, Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Demi Lovato, Betsy Sullenger, Spencer Berman, and Gary Marsh, with special thanks given to Alan Sacks for his foundational contributions to the series.
Soundtrack & Tour Announcements
Fans can already get a first taste of the movie’s new music. “One Beat Away,” the lead single performed by Liamani and the cast, is currently streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music.

In addition to the movie release, the “Worlds Collide Concert Tour” kicks off in North America in fall 2026, uniting performers from Descendants, ZOMBIES, and Camp Rock. Featuring stars such as Malachi Barton, Liamani Segura, Dara Reneé, Mekonnen Knife, Hudson Stone, Swayam Bhatia, Kiara Romero, and Alexandro Byrd, the tour spans 49 North American arenas before heading to the U.K. and Europe in 2027.
