Celebrate Shark Appreciation Week at SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld Orlando is inviting guests to celebrate Shark Appreciation Week with a weeklong lineup of shark-themed experiences from July 27 through August 1, 2026. Honoring one of the ocean’s most essential and misunderstood apex predators, the event blends heart-pounding thrills, family entertainment, and vital marine conservation efforts.
Visitors can look forward to interactive talks with animal care experts, character meet-and-greets, limited-time food and beverage offerings, exclusive merchandise, and the milestone 10th anniversary celebration of the hypercoaster Mako—all included with park admission.

Go beyond the glass during daily Aquarist Talks at Shark Shallows. SeaWorld’s animal care team will share fascinating insights into shark behavior, detail the specialized care these animals receive daily, and answer guest questions about why sharks are crucial to maintaining healthy marine ecosystems.
Celebrate 10 Years of Mako
Hold on tight! This year marks a decade of thrills aboard Mako, Orlando’s tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster. Guests can honor ten years of this award-winning hypercoaster named after one of the ocean’s fastest shark species.

100% of net proceeds (before taxes) will directly support the Guy Harvey Foundation’s mission funding shark conservation, scientific research, and ocean education. Exclusive Guy Harvey artwork, shark apparel, collectibles, and plush will also be available for purchase throughout the park.
