Universal Orlando Casting for New Costumed Character Performers at Epic Universe

Could more familiar faces be heading to Universal Epic Universe? Universal Orlando Resort has launched a new casting call for animated costumed character performers, sparking speculation that additional character experiences could be on the way for the popular theme park.

The audition posting is seeking part-time performers for “all animated costumed character opportunities” at Epic Universe. Universal is currently accepting submissions from candidates within several height ranges, including 4’10” to 5’3″, 5’6″ to 5’8″, and 5’10” to 6′ tall. Interested performers must submit a headshot, résumé, full-length photo, and audition videos by June 20.

While Universal has not revealed which characters the performers may portray, many fans are already looking toward SUPER NINTENDO WORLD as a likely destination. The land is home to several fully costumed characters, including Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Peach, making it one of the park’s most character-focused experiences. The height requirements in the casting notice also align closely with many of the characters currently appearing in the land.

Of course, Universal is keeping things under wraps, and the casting call could just as easily support future entertainment offerings or entirely new character additions elsewhere in the park.
