New Woody & Jessie Stage Show Debuts at Jessie’s Roundup

A brand-new stage show has officially arrived at The Diamond Horseshoe, marking the historic return of live entertainment to the venue for the first time in over 20 years! The festive addition, titled Jessie’s Roundup, debuted as a headlining part of the “Cool Kids’ Summer” celebration at Walt Disney World, helping eager parkgoers count down to the highly anticipated theatrical release of Toy Story 5.

The Jessie’s Roundup stage show is split into two distinct, action-packed portions. The first half features a live, guitar-playing singer alongside everyone’s favorite trusty steed, Bullseye. The second act dials up the energy even higher with a spectacular dancing and jump-rope routine starring Toy Story legends Woody and Jessie themselves.

Right as the fun kicks off, Jessie welcomes the crowd by saying, “We may all be strangers now, but when we’re done we’ll be friends, each and every one!” This line serves as a brilliant, heartwarming Easter egg for long-time Disney fans. It directly pays homage to the legendary Golden Horseshoe Saloon Revue and Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Revue shows of the past, which famously opened with the song “Hello Everybody.” The original lyrics playfully noted, “If you are a stranger, just say howdy stranger, we will soon be friends that way.”

The show leans heavily into interactive entertainment, featuring performers and characters dancing to beloved tracks from the Toy Story film franchise. Woody and Jessie even step off the stage and head directly into the crowd to mingle with the audience.

A few minutes into the performance, the stage is taken over by the incredibly talented Roundup Ropers, who wow the audience with a fast-paced, high-flying jump-rope routine. The ropers then bring the fun down to the floor, inviting children and the young at heart to jump in and show off their own skills.

To close out the festivities, Woody and Jessie return to the spotlight to teach the entire audience the steps to the “Horseshoe Stomp.” The performance wraps up on a perfect, nostalgic note as the duo invites the entire theater to join in on a massive, heartwarming sing-along of the ultimate Pixar anthem, “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.”
