Aerial Photos Reveal Major Progress Across Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The latest images showcase progress across several major projects, including the future Encanto attraction, the Indiana Jones adventure, and the centerpiece carousel planned for Pueblo Esperanza.

One of the most noticeable developments is the large steel framework rising from a circular concrete foundation that will become the land’s carousel. The structure now features a distinctive 10-sided frame, making it easy to identify from above and giving fans a better sense of the attraction’s overall footprint.

Nearby, construction crews continue making progress on the future Encanto attraction. Newly poured concrete walls are now visible for the base of La Casa Madrigal, the magical family home that will anchor the attraction. While much of the ride building remains hidden behind construction walls, the growing concrete structures provide an early glimpse at the scale of the upcoming experience.

Elsewhere in the construction zone, workers are preparing concrete forms for additional buildings throughout Pueblo Esperanza. Earth-moving equipment, utility work, and construction materials can be seen spread across multiple active work sites as Disney continues building out the new land’s infrastructure.

The future Indiana Jones attraction is also becoming easier to spot. Recent construction activity continues around the attraction’s massive temple façade, with the pyramid structure steadily rising above the former DINOSAUR attraction. While still in its early stages, the growing framework is beginning to resemble the concept art Disney previously shared for the reimagined adventure.

When Tropical Americas opens in 2027, the new land will replace DinoLand U.S.A. with a vibrant village inspired by the cultures and landscapes of Mexico, Central America, and South America. Guests will be able to experience a new Encanto attraction, an Indiana Jones adventure, a carousel, playground, dining locations, and immersive storytelling throughout Pueblo Esperanza.

With steel, concrete, and vertical construction now visible throughout the project, Tropical Americas is beginning to evolve from construction site to recognizable theme park land.
