Construction Walls Shift and Posters Vanish in Animation Courtyard

Changes are continuing to unfold at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as the Animation Courtyard undergoes a visible transition. Over the last few days, we’ve spotted several updates—ranging from the removal of classic displays to the installation of new signage—that suggest a refreshed look is on the way for this corner of the park.

The most significant addition is the installation of new signage for the Animation Studio Theater. The new signs feature a sleek, updated design that aligns with the current aesthetic of the park.

The installation is a clear sign that while the area is seeing many removals, Disney is still investing in updated wayfinding and branding for the active experiences within the courtyard.

As new signs go up, other elements are disappearing. Further progress has been made on the removal of construction walls near the entrance to the courtyard, opening up the walkway and providing a clearer view of the area.

However, fans of Disney’s film history might notice a few more empty spots this week. More promotional posters—which previously highlighted various Disney and Pixar animated features—have been removed from the gallery walls. This follows a trend we’ve seen over the last month, as the courtyard slowly strips away older decorative elements.

Are you excited to see a refreshed look for the Animation Courtyard, or do you miss the classic posters?
