The Muppets Officially Take Over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Entrance at Hollywood Studios
The transformation of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster into a full-blown Electric Mayhem tour bus disaster is accelerating fast at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. With less than three weeks remaining until opening day, Disney has now officially added “The Muppets” to the attraction’s entrance archway and updated the iconic upside-down limo with brand-new “MUPP3TS” license plates.

The most noticeable change appears above the famous coaster entrance vehicle, where silver “The Muppets” lettering now replaces the old Aerosmith branding that sat atop the archway for more than two decades. The refreshed gray entrance structure paired with the colorful limo gives the entire courtyard a dramatically different vibe from the previous version of the attraction.
And yes, the upside-down limo finally has its own Muppet vanity plate. The newly installed yellow plates read “MUPP3TS,” because apparently regular Florida registration simply could not contain this level of chaos. 🚘🐸
The updates are part of Disney’s ongoing reimagining of the longtime Sunset Boulevard coaster into Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, featuring Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem Band racing guests through Los Angeles toward a massive Hollywood concert.
Additional themed details continue appearing throughout the attraction courtyard as opening day approaches. The freshly painted Rock Around the Shop sign near the exit has gained new rings on Dr. Teeth’s hand, while the giant guitar outside the entrance has completed its updated color scheme. Refurbishment work on the iconic piano-key walkway is also nearly complete, including the addition of a standout gold key.
Disney has been steadily layering more Muppet references into the attraction over the past several weeks, including new concert posters, updated signage, and the recently installed attraction logo on the giant guitar itself.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets officially opens May 26, 2026, with Annual Passholder and Disney Vacation Club previews scheduled before the grand debut.
At this point, the Muppets have basically achieved full hostile takeover status over Sunset Boulevard. Honestly, if Animal suddenly appears driving the limo through the Hollywood Hills blasting classic rock covers, nobody should act surprised. 🤘🥁
