Disneyland Monorail Begins Extended Maintenance Closure
The Disneyland Monorail has officially suspended operations to begin a scheduled spring refurbishment. In the Downtown Disney District, the Monorail station is currently surrounded by construction fencing and obscured by black scrim as crews begin work on the “Highway in the Sky.”

The refurbishment officially kicked off on March 30, 2026. While Disneyland has not yet announced a specific completion date for the project, the official park calendar currently lists the attraction as unavailable through at least May 17. Guests planning visits later this spring should keep an eye on the schedule for any updates regarding the Monorail’s return to the skies.

Signage has been posted at the perimeter to notify travelers that the Monorail is currently out of service. During this maintenance period, guests wishing to travel between the Downtown Disney District and Tomorrowland will need to make the trek on foot.
