The campaign honors Disney’s decades-long legacy of protecting our planet through a blend of entertainment, education, and direct environmental action. Featuring a mix of global premieres, immersive activations, and significant conservation milestones, the month-long celebration is rooted in the belief that fostering a deep understanding of our world is the essential first step toward its preservation.
“For 138 years, National Geographic has been fueled by a spirit of exploration that expands minds and opens hearts,” shared Courteney Monroe, President of National Geographic. “Through ‘Step Into Wonder,’ we are bringing that spirit to the forefront of Disney’s Earth Month, creating a platform for stories that ignite a love for our planet and encourage families to head outdoors and celebrate the everyday magic of the natural world.”

As the creative engine behind “Step Into Wonder,” National Geographic is inviting audiences of all ages to discover the extraordinary wonders of our planet—from the smallest insects to the vastest ecosystems—and to take an active role in caring for our shared world. This global storytelling campaign features a captivating lineup of content, highlighted by the highly anticipated premiere of Secrets of the Bees. Beyond the screen, Earth Month will come to life through digital and experiential activations designed to spark curiosity and fuel the explorer in everyone.

The immersive feature introduces Indah, an inquisitive adolescent orangutan learning how to navigate life as she prepares to leave her family and venture out on her own for the first time. In celebration of Disneynature’s Orangutan, the Disney Conservation Fund is supporting Wildlife Conservation International and their partner, Forum Konservasi Leuser, to protect Sumatran orangutans across more than five million acres of forest habitat—and to help rebuild the Ketambe Research Center and support rangers impacted by catastrophic flooding.
