New Aerial Photos Show Disney Lakeshore Lodge Construction Taking Shape, Including New Bus Shelter Frames
Disney Lakeshore Lodge is looking more and more like a real resort instead of a giant puzzle dumped beside Bay Lake, and bioreconstruct’s March 18 aerial photos give us a fantastic new look at the progress. The sweeping overhead views show just how far the new Disney Vacation Club resort has come, with the main hotel structure now stretching in a broad, curving layout along the shoreline and much of the building wrapped in visible roofing and exterior progress.

One of the most notable recent additions is the frame for the bus shelters, which can now be spotted near the arrival area, giving us another clue that Disney is steadily moving from major structural work into the bones of day-to-day guest operations. Elsewhere in the images, the central resort area continues to come into focus, including the large pool complex and the winding feature that appears to be the lazy river taking shape in the middle of the site.
From above, you can also spot continued work on the waterfront dock area, more defined pathways and grading, and active construction zones all around the interior courtyard spaces. The scale of this project really pops from the sky, especially with how close it sits to Fort Wilderness and Bay Lake, and it is becoming easier to imagine how this nature-inspired resort will eventually fit into Disney’s Wilderness Lodge area.

At this point, Lakeshore Lodge is no longer just a concept rising from the old Reflections footprint. It is very clearly becoming Disney’s next big waterfront stay, and these new aerials show the resort inching closer to its future debut one beam, roofline, and bus stop frame at a time.
