Disney Reveals Lightning Lane Tier for Reimagined Muppets Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Confirmed as Tier 1 Lightning Lane Attraction

When the Muppets crank the amps at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this summer, they’ll be headlining the Lightning Lane lineup too. Disney has confirmed that the upcoming Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will remain a Tier 1 attraction when it debuts later in 2026.

The new version of the coaster replaces the long-running Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, but its place among the park’s most in-demand attractions isn’t changing. The ride will continue to sit in the top tier of Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections, meaning guests can only choose one Tier 1 attraction when making their initial Lightning Lane reservations.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows guests to select up to three attractions and arrival windows when they first book. However, only one of those selections can come from the park’s Tier 1 group, which includes some of the most popular rides in the park.

The Tier 1 Lightning Lane attractions at Hollywood Studios currently include:

• Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
• Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
• Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets (Opening Summer 2026)
• Slinky Dog Dash

Guests can then select their remaining experiences from the Tier 2 lineup, which includes a mix of attractions and shows throughout the park.

Tier 2 Lightning Lane attractions include:

• Alien Swirling Saucers
• Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage
• For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
• Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
• The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure
• Star Tours – The Adventures Continue
• Toy Story Mania!
• The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Meanwhile, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance continues to operate outside the Multi Pass system and remains available only through Lightning Lane Single Pass purchases.

While Disney has not yet revealed full story details for the new Muppets version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, the attraction is expected to keep the same high-speed launch and coaster layout while introducing a brand-new musical adventure featuring the chaotic charm of the Muppets.

The attraction is currently scheduled to debut sometime in summer 2026 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
