Universal Celebrates ‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ with Limited-Time Experiences at SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and CityWalk
Universal is inviting guests to power up their park visits with a galaxy-sized celebration tied to Nintendo and Illumination’s upcoming film, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Beginning on MAR10 Day, Tuesday, March 10, both Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort will launch special limited-time experiences inspired by the highly anticipated movie. The celebration will run daily through April 13, 2026, giving fans plenty of time to explore themed food, merchandise, and photo opportunities leading up to the film’s theatrical premiere on April 1.

One of the biggest highlights of the celebration will take place inside SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, where Yoshi will appear for a limited-time meet and greet. Guests visiting Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort will be able to snap photos with the beloved character as part of the movie celebration. The parks will also introduce themed treats inspired by the cosmic adventure of the film. Among the new offerings are the Rosalina Cupcake, a blue velvet cupcake filled with blueberry cheesecake and lemon buttercream, topped with a chocolate crown and star, and Galaxy Popcorn, a colorful berry-flavored popcorn sprinkled with edible glitter.
Guests looking to take a piece of the experience home will find new merchandise inspired by the film as well. A standout collectible is a first-of-its-kind interactive Luma shoulder pal, available in both blue and yellow. These adorable companions feature lights and sound effects and even interact with each other when placed close together, making them a playful souvenir for fans of the galaxy-spanning adventure.
The celebration will also extend beyond the parks to Universal CityWalk in both Orlando and Hollywood. Guests can step into a vibrant, galaxy-themed tunnel photo experience inspired by the film and capture cosmic-worthy photos from Mario’s newest journey. Fans who want to see the adventure unfold on the big screen can catch The Super Mario Galaxy Movie starting April 1 at Universal Cinema at Universal CityWalk Hollywood and Universal Cinemark at Universal CityWalk Orlando.
