Expedition Everest Temporarily Closes for Refurbishment
Maintenance is officially in progress at Expedition Everest. Visitors to Disney’s Animal Kingdom will notice that scrims have been erected around the loading and unloading platforms as crews begin their work on the attraction.

Although the mountain remains open for adventure, guests will notice construction scrims currently masking the intricate theming of the loading and unloading areas. This unannounced maintenance seems localized to the station’s aesthetic rather than the coaster’s mechanics, allowing the ride to operate as usual.
Disney has yet to release a formal completion timeline or schedule any full closures, suggesting this is a “rolling refurbishment” designed to minimize impact on your park day.
