Happily Ever After Fireworks Are Back Nightly at Magic Kingdom Starting January 1, 2026

Cue the goosebumps and grab your spot on Main Street, U.S.A. because Happily Ever After is officially returning to nightly performances at Magic Kingdom starting January 1, 2026. After taking a holiday hiatus to make way for Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks and New Year’s Eve Fantasy in the Sky, this fan favorite nighttime spectacular is ready to light up Cinderella Castle once again. According to Disney, the show will return with a 9:00 pm performance each night, giving guests a perfect capstone to their park day as the calendar flips to the new year.

Happily Ever After first debuted in 2017 and quickly became a must see thanks to its emotional soundtrack, massive fireworks, lasers, and projection mapping that transforms Cinderella Castle into a storytelling canvas. The show replaced Wishes, paused in 2021 for Disney Enchantment during the 50th Anniversary celebration, and then made its triumphant comeback in 2023. Disney also refreshed the show’s spotlights last year, making those sweeping beams across the sky even more dramatic for nighttime viewers.

For now, the 9:00 pm showtime is locked in, though Disney notes that the performance time could shift earlier in spring once daylight hours change. Still, there is something extra magical about ringing in 2026 with a classic nighttime spectacular at Magic Kingdom, especially one that so many fans consider the emotional heart of Walt Disney World evenings. If your New Year’s resolution includes more Disney magic, this one basically writes itself at Walt Disney World.
