Gideon’s Bakehouse Artwork Appears at Second Disney Springs Location, Fueling Expansion Rumors
It looks like something dark and delicious may be stirring at Disney Springs. New gothic-style artwork has appeared in the windows of a second rumored Gideon’s Bakehouse location, seemingly confirming earlier speculation that the fan-favorite bakehouse could be expanding at Walt Disney World.

Earlier this month, a permit filing hinted at a possible second Gideon’s location, listing a “New Tenant Build-Out of Lease Space” at 1600 E. Buena Vista Drive, Suite C-22. That address corresponds to the former Art of Shaving storefront, which permanently closed in January 2024 and has remained empty since. The permit lists Walt Disney World as the property owner, with The First Raven LLC, owned by Gideon’s founder Steve Lewis, named as the client.
While the new space is located just around the corner from the existing Gideon’s Bakehouse, it is not directly connected and is separated by several other businesses. That detail has led many fans to believe this may not be a simple expansion of the current shop, but rather an entirely new concept from the Gideon’s team.
The artwork now visible behind the windows leans heavily into Gideon’s signature gothic aesthetic. Rendered in bold red and black tones, the designs feature birds along with imagery resembling a crown and sword. Notably absent, however, is the traditional Gideon’s Bakehouse logo, which raises even more questions about what kind of experience or offerings this new location might bring.

Adding to the mystery, signage on the door reads, “Please Pardon Our Appearance | Something New is Coming Soon.” Cast Members at the original Disney Springs Gideon’s location reportedly did not have additional details to share when asked about the new space.
Gideon’s Bakehouse also operates its original location at East End Market in Orlando’s Audubon Park Garden District, which first opened in October 2016 with just one employee. Since then, the brand has grown into one of the most talked-about sweet stops at Disney Springs, known for its massive cookies, cold brew, and immersive atmosphere.
