As part of a series of posts, I’m going to be tackling the challenge that many of us think about, but not all of us are afraid to speak out about. To be honest, I’m all ready to get flamed here by lovers of attractions, and those that don’t want to see anything change at all at Walt Disney World, and believe me, I don’t like change all that much either. I’m still bummed about Mickey’s Toontown Fair closing! But there are some attractions that really do need to change in my opinion, and for me, Tomorrowland Speedway is one of those attractions.
Tomorrowland Speedway is a safe, fun way for kids of all ages to be able to enjoy “driving” and get their feet wet at it at the Magic Kingdom. But to me, the Tomorrowland Speedway is about the slowest, most boring ride in all of Walt Disney World, and on top of it, often the lines are astronomically long! I don’t know what can realistically be done to improve the Tomorrowland Speedway. It is an attraction that appeals to many generations of Walt Disney World travelers, for kids of all ages; my niece even enjoyed driving a car on the speedway, as you can see here!
So help me out here, people. Am I crazy for having these thoughts? Should I have not admitted my “Please Refurbish This Ride” attraction? Please tell me what you think of the Tomorrowland Speedway!
