Toy Story 5 Teaser Trailer Debuts!

The toys are back, but things are definitely changing! Disney and Pixar have unveiled the thrilling first teaser trailer and a new poster for Toy Story 5. The new film promises a fascinating new direction with the theme “Toy meets Tech,” hinting at a groundbreaking adventure for Woody, Buzz, and the gang.

The teaser trailer introduces a major new character: Lilypad, a high-tech, frog-shaped smart tablet voiced by the remarkably talented Greta Lee (Past Lives, The Morning Show). Lilypad is the core of the film’s conflict, making Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and the rest of the gang’s job exponentially harder as they go head-to-head with this all-new threat to playtime. Adding to the exciting new cast, Conan O’Brien joins the voice lineup as the toilet training tech toy, Smarty Pants.

Returning to anchor the beloved franchise are Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyear), Joan Cusack (Jessie), and Tony Hale (Forky). Director Andrew Stanton and co-director Kenna Harris shared their excitement, stating that exploring how the legacy toys “might respond to today’s world of technology” has been a “hilarious and poignant journey.”

Directed by Academy Award® winner Andrew Stanton and co-directed by Kenna Harris, Toy Story 5 is set to hit theaters nationwide on June 19, 2026.
