Santa Gertie Returns to Echo Lake for the 2025 Holiday Season at Hollywood Studios
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, because everyone’s favorite dino just got festive! That’s right—Santa Gertie has officially donned her famous red velvet hat for the 2025 holiday season, complete with the classic white trim and her signature shiny ornament hanging from her mouth.

The beloved lakeside dinosaur at Echo Lake is one of those Disney holiday icons that feels like a warm hug from seasons past. Her snow-capped back may stick around year-round, but the addition of her Santa accessories means the most wonderful time of the year has truly arrived.

Echo Lake itself is joining the celebration, too. The shimmering surface is now filled with oversized floating ornaments in vibrant red, green, blue, and yellow hues. They might look like they’re bobbing freely, but Disney magic (and some underwater anchors) keep them perfectly in place. Water levels around the lake are slightly lowered during installation, so expect Gertie and her ornaments to shine bright in the Florida sun until the park’s massive Christmas tree is installed on the nearby peninsula in the coming days.
And don’t forget—this year’s Christmas Gertie Cookie is set to make its sweet return during Disney Jollywood Nights. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Hollywood Studios’ retro holiday charm with a cookie as iconic as its dino mascot.
