Pandora After Dark Returns to Disney’s Animal Kingdom as Earlier Sunsets Extend the Glow
It’s almost time to get bioluminescent again! As daylight saving time comes to an end this weekend, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is ready to let the glow flow once more in Pandora – The World of Avatar. Starting November 1, the park will shift to later closing times, giving guests more chances to experience the Valley of Mo’ara under its shimmering nighttime sky.

With sunset hitting around 5:30 p.m., those 8:00 p.m. closings will mean nearly two full hours of darkness to enjoy the breathtaking bioluminescence throughout Pandora. From glowing pathways and pulsating plant life to the towering floating mountains lit in ethereal hues, the land transforms into something truly magical once the sun dips below the horizon.
Here’s how the park hours shake out next week:
- Nov 1–3: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Early Entry 7:30 a.m.)
- Nov 4: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Nov 5: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Extended Evening Hours 8:00–10:00 p.m.)
- Nov 6–7: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

That means extra time to catch Avatar Flight of Passage or take a peaceful float through Na’vi River Journey as the Shaman of Songs welcomes you with her mesmerizing melody. Guests who usually visit earlier in the day often miss this jaw-dropping nighttime transformation, so this is the perfect season to see why Pandora After Dark has become one of the most stunning after-sunset experiences in all of Walt Disney World.
